1. Is China good for international students?

Yes, from now on, IELTS is mandatory for both Bachelor’s and Master’s programs; applicants for Bachelor’s must achieve a minimum overall score of 6.0, while those applying for Master’s programs are required to have an overall score of 6.5, so all students should plan their preparation accordingly before applying.

2. Is IELTS required for China?

Many English-taught programs require IELTS or TOEFL, although some universities offer alternative proficiency options.

3. Can I stay in China after graduation?

Yes, International students can stay in China after graduation by changing their visa status. Graduates may apply for a short-term stay permit (usually 6–12 months) to search for employment, and once a job is secured, the employer can sponsor a work visa (Z visa) and residence permit, enabling legal stay and work in China.

4. Can I work while studying?

Yes, International students in China may work while studying only with official permission from their university and immigration authorities; however, in most cases, part-time work is not allowed, and opportunities are very limited, so students should not rely on working while studying.

5. Is the CSCA exam mandatory for studying in China?

Yes, from 2026, the CSCA exam is mandatory for most international students applying for bachelor’s programs in China; whether self-funded or scholarship-based.
